220 grit may work.

modernwizardI tried some 220 grit on Novella's head before heading to work this AM. It was certainly removing resin. The areas that I have quickly sanded appear slightly lighter than those I have not, so I'll try more after work, assuming we don't lose power due to the hurricane.
