Just a few people [six] came to doll club today, so the meeting lasted shorter than usual. I brought Tamsin, a doll customized by Andrea and wearing a combo of dress, apron and stockings made by Andrea, sitting in a Vitra mini chair from a package from Andrea. I thought I wanted one, but I want Sabik's head more. However, I already agreed to a split with someone else, so I ordered a CP MNF Ruth Special so he could have the sleeping head and the body and I could have the awake head. But now I don't want the awake head. I ordered it today, no faceup, so it should be arriving in 2-3 weeks. Ruth isn't available in parts, so, if you like the head, this is your chance to get it. Any interest?

My 1:6 collection is drastically reducing. I successfully got rid of 90% of my parts bin and some miscellaneous food this week. Later I will get rid of some pink [gaaaaack] furniture and whole dolls. If all goes well, I should have <15 dolls hanging out at home. [I'm not including dolls at work. Maybe I should bring more to work. I currently have 4 1:6ers and 1 action figure.]

My 1:3 population is planning to increase. If all goes well, SARDONIX [remember her?] will be back. I should be getting a 2006 Luts Juri head [picture], which I want to put on a Domuya Flexi girl body [picture]. This time, I plan to leave her unpainted and unwigged so that I can show off her construction and articulation. In this incarnation, she will be less of a hellish succubus and more of a devilish cyborg. She will have antennae coming off the points of her ears. I'd also like to put a small watch in one of her eye sockets and a "control panel" in her abdomen.

At yesterday's Burlington doll meet, Jareth proudly showed off his snazzy cape. Jamie [DrNero] saw how voluminous it was and wondered how many other dolls you could hide under here. This silly photo was the result. No dolls were corrupted in the shooting of this photo, although everyone seemed a bit traumatized afterward by the...wrongness of it. We've got two Dollmore 40cms under there ["His hand is bigger than my head" = Ujee, "I'm closing my eyes" = unknown], a Volks Toppi ["Mister..."] and a CP unknown ["I'm calling"]. :p( Read more... )

Well, I took Lilith to the Burlington doll club meeting yesterday, where she felt out of place among 1:4 fashion dolls and a slew of BJDs. However, I felt right at home, admiring and joking about everyone's dolls and ogling the first Haund I've ever seen. You can see him below [his name is Grimm], owned by Steph on DOA. Lishe, who is owned by Ivy [Ivy4Mdvanii on DOA], parked herself in his lap, incidentally showing off where Sardonix' boots went to. [Lishe's T-shirt, hilariously enough, says I'M NOT A F***ING BARBIE!] The chair is from Doll Market, where I am going to get me some cheap doll furniture one of these days.

I just wanted to share my news with people. Therese is getting an Elf Lishe. That's a Cerebrus Project Delf doll, limited to an edition of 68. She has all the coolness of Lishe, as seen here, but with big pointy ears! Therese keeps the sleeping head, which we think has fangs, and I get the waking head [no fangs, blah]. ( Read more... )
