A few days before Xmas, I got a message from a fellow DOA member asking me if I was still looking for a Souldoll Soul Little Metel. I had put up a WTB thread on DOA a few months ago and then forgot about it in the ensuing excitement of Zombieville. allurose was offering her for $200.00 shipped, plus my choice of any 1:6 scale clothes and furniture from her sales list, so I jumped on her proposal.

We eventually worked out this deal where I'm getting the doll, a shojo screen, a red table lamp, a pink hutch [needs to be spray painted white] and some Rement [mugs and serving utensils] for $190.91 shipped and insured, particularly since Metel was $242.00 when she was available on the primary market. I'm equally excited about the furniture -- which includes a long-desired shojo screen and a lamp! -- as the doll!

Anyway, here's a shot of her with her default faceup from the seller's Flickr. Her faceup currently looks like this. [That's a Volks plastic body, though, not her original resin body, which I'm getting.] I think it makes her look wan and melancholy, which is not the look I want for her. I'll either wipe it entirely and start again or heavily enhance it.

She's on layaway, to be paid off shortly. No name, character or concept yet, but that's okay.

...was issued in 2000. I remember seeing her in FAO Schwartz in Boston [back when I still lived there and FAO Schwartz had a store there!] and wanting her, but not being able to justify the ~$60.00 sticker price. I wanted to stick her head on a CG body, but I didn't know if her nifty outfit would fit.

Anyway, I was poking around on Ebay this evening and came across several sales for the doll at or under $30.00 shipped.

I just got the best idea...you know what would look really cool? Hispanic Sterling Silver Rose with this outfit!
