Oh hey sexism against Palin! aka Salon is not progressive.

As illustration for a dipshitty article about "Mistress Palin," the dipshits at Salon added a dipshitty Photoshop of Palin dominating a moose, which is supposed to represent the country.

Note the equation of a powerful, assertive woman with non-heteronormative, kinky sexuality that some people find morally repugnant. My point is not to start a debate on bdsm, but to show that this picture and the accompanying article make the tired old connection between a powerful woman and "perverted" sex. 

Also note that the entire article sounds like the author's barely disguised wad-blowing fantasy.

The sheer venom and internalized misogyny brought up by this election impresses and frightens me. I'm especially impressed and frightened when I see women themselves, in this case, Sarah Palin, actively participating in their own oppression. I say that in general commentary on her infantilizing, woman-hating reproductive policies, not in commentary on this stupid graphic.
