Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies, also known as two gooey oatmeal cookies stuck together with sugar paste, are delicious. I think the soft, chewy texture appeals to me the most; I have a peculiar affinity for glutinous foods. They're like oatmeal cookie whoopie pies, but without overmuch whoopie.

The are Evil and Addictive and we can't have them in this house because they disappear far too fast. Mmmm.

I think the giant versions get the cookie-to-frosting ratio wrong, though.

(I do credit the oatmeal creme pies for my current love of oatmeal in general, though,an that can't be a bad thing, right?)

I've never tried the Little Debbie cookies. Partly because I used to NOT eat anything NOT Tastykake. Partly because the kid on the advertisement annoys me. (She looks too wholesome to be true.)

My favorite oatmeal cookie is homemade with big nuggets of cashew nuts and raisins (the "regular" purply kind). No other nut will do. Gotta have that buttery, salty, creamy cashew against the rough oatmeal and the sticky raisin. Party in the mouth. Oh, maybe I shouldn't have written that LOL.
