Barrett had too much skull globe, so I took off the top. As a bonus, I didn't have to unroot the hair from that section. I unrooted the few rows of hair that remained.

I decided as soon as I got Barrett that I wanted to save the flocking on the sides of his head and ultimately give him a hairstyle that made use of it. I modified my fur wig pattern to create a shallow wig representing a long layer of hair around the top of his head. The fur has a 1" brown base with 3" spikes of black and blue, but I trimmed everything down to the same length. I stuffed some faux fur scraps into his head and glued them there, just so his head wasn't flat on top, then glued the wig down over his open skull top.

I styled Barrett's hair with diluted Mod Podge, a fine-tooth comb and my fingers. With a little work, I can get much more realistic results out of faux fur than rooted hair.

I also redid Barrett's eyebrows in black acrylic paint, then shaded his face with some brown watercolor pencil. The shadows under his eyes are rather heavy, even for me, as he's supposed to be a nocturnal, sleep-deprived person who runs on caffeinated, neon energy drinks.

Now he just needs his noise-cancelling headphones, and he'll be done.

This sweater is so disgusting.
