Am I the only person...
Oct. 11th, 2014 12:26 am...who, upon seeing Red Bull energy drinks, immediately thinks of The Last Unicorn?
Am I the only one who felt sorry for King Haggard? Those darn miserable kings, stealing babies and lording it over the protagonists, only to collapse at the end, along with their castles... :p

Date: Oct. 12th, 2014 02:11 am (UTC)I don't necessarily think he deserved to die (unless one is inclined to see his death as a relief for what tormented him so, but I feel like there might yet have been redemption for him if he could have pulled his head out of his ass). But I also don't think death was a punishment for his sins in the story-- if anything, I think it was the consequence of not being willing to let go of the walls he'd held himself in with all those years. He chose to remain in the crumbling castle and watch it fall beneath him.
I may not know what the fuck I'm doing wandering the landscape alone, but at least I had the sense to vacate the castle.
