Novella as she is now

I buffed out any major scratches on Novella's face with 600 grit sandpaper this morning, then gave her some temporary eyes. I want to get her some bright glittery anguineous ones with slit pupils, but these purple DD-Annes will do for now. Then I snapped a few pictures.

After countless hours of highly unrewarding sandpaper assault, she has a significantly less yellow face. The pic below illustrates that her head is still slightly yellower than her body, but I have special talents in avoiding resin mismatches like this.

Of course, I still have a substantial amount of work to do on her. Her left hand is floppy for some reason and, even though I tightened her body stringing, she's still a bit floppy. She needs appropriate eyes and neon snakes for hair. For her outfit, I have to swap her tights for a tighter pair [hah] and replace the white ribbons on her top with some bright, light color [basically anything but white]. She also needs a few layers of jewelry around her neck, as well as FUZZY RAINBOW LEGWARMERS decorated with pompoms. I'd love to get her some bright yellow platform heels, but I'm not sure they exist in her size. Hmmm...

As I've mentioned before, I love those silver shoes. If you want to change the ribbon color on her top but still have the ribbon the same size, perhaps a fabric marker or fabric paint might be less work than sewing in new ribbons? As for the snake-dreads, have you thought of making them out of pipe cleaners (or with some wire innards) to make them pose-able?

Regarding the neon yellow shoes you have in mind, do you have an image of the sort of shoe style and/or relative color you're thinking of? If she has feet bigger than Barbie-sized, try looking at the shoes designed for Tonner dolls on ebay. They have some cool boots of different heights and varied styles of heels. If you can't find something pre-made, you could try polymer clay. I seem to remember having some neon green stuff, possibly neon yellow.
