Fabric to purchase for backdrops
Nov. 11th, 2012 03:45 pmGinger's Needleworks and Quilting sells many printed cotton fabrics that work very well for lazy people like me who want to make easy 1:6 scale sets. I previously used a stone wall print for Lucian's castle to great effect. I'm now making notes for future purchases:
For skies, I have several options:
I might be able to make a Lake Champlain out of this fabric of long blue breakers, but I'm not convinced.
For skies, I have several options:
- A general blue with very light clouds could work for a fading-off-into-the-horizon effect.
- These clouds look farther away and have more definition than the previous ones.
- And here's a partly cloudy night sky!!!!
- Mixed coniferous/deciduous forest in spring, summer, maybe even early fall.
- A deciduous forest in late summer with lots of past-prime green and a few leaves turning color.
- A snowy forest of bare deciduous trees...for Vermont winters, of course!
I might be able to make a Lake Champlain out of this fabric of long blue breakers, but I'm not convinced.
